Tests back

Today I handed your grammar tests back. I have reviewed a couple of them once again. It's easy to sometimes miss a point or two while marking. Thanks for working with me :)

If you are unhappy with your result, make sure you use some of your x-mas holiday to practice and figure out what you need to improve. Also make sure you ask me any questions you might have. It will pay off in the end. Promise.

Tomorrow we will watch the end of the movie Gilbert Grape. See you then.

Movie: What's Eating Gilbert Grape

Today we watched the first part of the movie What's Eating Gilbert Grape? It's a great movie where a very young Leonardo Di Caprio plays a mentally challenged kid and Johnny Depp plays his older brother.

On Monday we will continue watching the movie and we may also need some of Tuesday's class to finish it. After that I will post some questions on the movie here on the blog for you to answer.

Please note: English class on Wednesday, 15 December is cancelled due to your visit to a museum.

The Maoris

The Maoris are the indigenous Polynesian people of New Zealand. We talked about that yesterday in class since they were mentioned in one of the exercises we did.

See you later today for the grammar test.
