1. we think that his father is lying and he wants Manny to stay in India for a longer time. Because he wants Manny to be a real Punjabi.
2. no it´s not because Manny has seen a lot of bad things. For example the man who sells cigarettes are having an affair with his neighbours wife. There are forbidden alleys with drugs and prostitutes.
3. He prefers England because they are more free-thinking and in India they are too traditional and he doesn´t like that.
